DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE: In conversation, it’s obvious that the members of Death Cab for Cutie genuinely enjoy making music with each other and being in a band together. Their only motivation is to create music they like – and to impress and satisfy each other.

ALABAMA SHAKE: With “Sound & Color”, Alabama Shakes prove that the response to their debut studio album “Boys & Girls” was no fluke. Expanding on the soulful blues-rock base that made their name, they defy predictable expectations and map an exciting, surprising, and innovative new direction.

AARON: Simon Buret (writer/composer/performer) and Olivier Coursier (composer/arranger) were destined to each other, and that is now a fact! In 2004, advised by a friend, Simon called on Olivier to give him some lyrics. That resulted in a first title, “Endless Song”, and collaboration. Aaron was born.

JOSE GONZALEZ: José’s newest work “Vestiges & Claws”, is a hushed and delicate solo set that forefronts the artist and guitarist’s compellingly intimate vocal style and intricate playing technique, recorded almost entirely by José and self-produced, mostly in his Gothenburg home.

FAKEAR: After studying music for two years, Théo aka Fakear devoted himself to electronic music and win the musical springboard AÖC 2012 in Caen such as the Adami Deezer Talents Prize 2014. Fakear could be considered as the new French electro prodigy!

SON LUX: Founded by producer-composer Ryan Lott in 2007, Son Lux “works at the nexus of several rarely-overlapping Venn Diagrams” (Pitchfork). With their brand new record “Bones”, Son Lux have shared the album in it’s impressive entirety and have also confirmed extensive European tour plans for later this year.

MICHAEL KIWANUKA: With Michael Kiwanuka, it’s all about the voice. A voice that he describes as “hitting straight through to the core” with direct, emotional songs about love, yearning, comfort and belonging.

TOBIAS JESSO JR: Vancouver-born songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr. settled into his own style by singing his own material for his 70s-style singer/songwriter debut. Jesso’s newest work, written entirely by him and centered on his vocals and piano is the heartache-themed “Goon” was released in March of 2015.

MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY: It must be said that since 2004, the Luxembourgish band has certainly not taken it easy (endless tours with over 500 concerts, supporting Russian Circles, Biffy Clyro,,…) with some highlights along the way such as their appearance at the SXSW in Austin, Texas or the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

FLO MORRISSEY: Morrissey left school at 17, abandoning A Levels in Music and French to pursue her songwriting career. “It was a big decision,” she admits. “But I’d always been set on not going to university because I knew that music was what I wanted to do.”

JOSEF SALVAT (en photo en tête d’article) : Josef Salvat infiltrated the international musical landscape in 2013. Quietly posting tracks like “This Life”, “Hustler” and “Every Night”, he seemed to collect influential fans without even trying. Salvat’s latest EP, “In Your Prime“, was released in 2014 and is generating some stateside buzz ahead of an album release early next year.

KESINGTON: Rivalry can sometimes create a healthy dynamic. Just ask Kensington, the hard-working band that placed conflict at the centre of “Rivals”, their latest album. Recorded in Berlin, “Rivals” is in many ways the next step in this promising band’s evolution.

RAG N BONE: Loaded with refined influences, Rag ‘N’ Bone Man has been a prolific underground name for a couple of years now, honing a ferocious live reputation through guitar wielding solo performances, as the resident vocalist of rap’s Rum Committee.

SEED TO TREE: It can be said that it was back in 2009 the “seed” of Seed to Tree was planted when Benjamin and Georges began playing guitar and singing together. However the band idea didn’t take root until the beginning of 2010 when Michi the drummer provided the first shoots for Seed to Tree.

FICKLE FRIENDS: Brighton 5-piece, Fickle Friends first caught people’s attention in 2014 when their debut single “SWIM” amassed over 750,000 Soundcloud plays. This year they embark upon their first UK headline tour and will be releasing their debut EP “VELVET”.

MONOPHONA: When Claudine and Chook first started discussing a common musical project in the winter of 2010, they came from completely different worlds. The result of this collaboration is Monophona, a blend of two extremes, electronic and intimate, melodic and innovative.

ALEX VARGAS: Rising star, vocalist and songwriter-producer, Alex Vargas, who has recently received critical acclaim from music blogs, critics and radio tastemakers Annie Mac and Jo Whiley, announced the release of his new single and EP “Till Forever Runs Out”, a down-tempo evocative example of his distinctive guitar driven electro-soul sound.

ISHDARR: IshDARR began taking music seriously at young age, spending the rest of his highschool years recording and working on his sound. In April, 2014, while be- ing a senior in highschool he released his debut EP, “The Better Life”.
